Inuyama Festival

The Inuyama Festival at Haritsuna Shrine is said to have been started in 1635. It is held on the first Saturday and Sunday in April every year.
Thirteen festival floats, which are designated as important culture properties by Aichi prefecture, parade through the town, showing performances of elaborately-made puppets accompanied by Japanese flutes and drums.
At night, 365 lanterns lit on the floats, and cherry trees in full bloom, add to the charm of the festival.
