Iruka Pond is a reservoir constructed for irrigation. It is about 1,580,000 square meters in area and has a circumference of about twelve kilometers.
It is the second largest artificial lake in Japan.
It is in the Hida-Kiso Quasi-national Park, and you can enjoy viewing beautiful natural flowers and woods throughout the year.
On the hillside overlooking the mere, you can see the buildings of Meiji-Mura.
